well, although i never actually had to come out and tell my family and parents that i was gay, small indications were clear. my family is very religious, and could discern that i was in a relationship with my girlfriend. they hate it very much, and yes it has changed my relationship with everyone in my family. i use to be a daddy's girl frowing up, but now he hardly calls or does anything for me. i am 20 years old, and my parents first started guessing that i was gay when i was like 17 years old. when i was 19 i got into a monogamous relationship, and now i'm almost 21 years old and i am still with that female. my parents don't want her in their home at all. my aunts and grandparents think that she is a nice girl, they don't accept my lifestyle, but they try no to put me down either. so look, if you feel deep down inside that you aren't ready to go through the pain of coming out, then don't let the cat out of the bag yet. trust me. i am still afraid sometimes to talk to my parents, because they are so biased and will never understand. i don't have time to let them patronize me and make me feel bad, that's why i keep all conversations short and sweet. use your own judgement love
